While a majority of youth will find healthy ways to keep busy, some, unfortunately, will use their unsupervised freedom to experiment with drugs and alcohol. State leaders urge schools to help fight drug abuse

Mary Taylor, Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ohio legislative leaders recently sent letters to all school superintendents in Ohio to share tools and information with teachers, counselors and parents in an effort to fight the deadly opioid epidemic.

Career-Technical Education Middle Grades Waiver

The waiver for districts to opt out of offering seventh- and eighth-grade career-tech programming is accessible through the SAFE account for the superintendent or superintendent designee. Instructions for completing the form are available here.

Middle grades career-technical education waivers must be completed yearly. The deadline for completing this year’s waiver is Sept. 30. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Office of Career-Technical Education at (614) 466-3430.


Fiscal Year 2016 Early Childhood Education Final Expenditure Reports Due

As the end of the Fiscal Year 2016 Early Childhood Education grant draws near, we wanted to share important information regarding end of grant year requirements.  All Early Childhood Education grantees must complete a final expenditure report (FER) online through the CCIP.
