New FY15 Required Spring Update Five Year Forecast (P) Reporting Collection Request Released
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE), Office for Exceptional Children (OEC) is clarifying section II.5.b of the State Complaint Procedures C-5 Effective 12/12/2014.
To recognize the contributions of military families, the Ohio Department of Education is eliminating fees for their educator licenses. Beginning Jan. 2, 2015, the fees for any initial Ohio educator license (including an alternative resident educator workforce development license), permit or certificate – or for a renewal – will be waived for candidates who are veterans with honorable discharges or current service members of all branches of the United States Armed Forces, including the National Guard or Reserves. Spouses of active-duty service members also may receive a license free of charge.
Additionally, if the veteran is eligible, VA benefits may also be used for covering the costs of any licensure examination or test (if applicable) required for an educator license.
Please share this information with your recruitment office and licensure and testing office on campus.
