Teaching in Taiwan – Special Opportunity

Through a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the Ohio Department of Education invites new and experienced licensed elementary and middle school teachers to apply to the Teaching in Taiwan program. The selected educators teach English to students in Taiwan for one academic year. Teaching contracts are from 10 to 11 months, depending on the placement.

Each Ohio teacher is paired with a Taiwanese classroom teacher. In addition to providing English language instruction, teachers work with Taiwanese educators to develop curriculum, prepare lesson plans and teaching materials, conduct classes, and evaluate student progress.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 school year. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 5, 2013.
