AVID Grant Resources

2012 AVID Grant Application

Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) is a systemic instructional and achievement program for students in Grades 4 through 12 and post secondary. The AVID college readiness system is designed to increase the number of students who enroll in four-year colleges and succeed in post secondary education and training.

More than 98 percent of AVID high school seniors graduate from high school and more than 71 percent are accepted to four-year colleges – consistently.

Applications for 13 grants are open until May 11, 2012

Grant Amounts (Total of 13 grants)

  • Nine 2-year grants
    • $25,000 the first year
    • $18,000 for the second year
  • Four 1-year grants for $26,500 (SY 2013-2014)
