Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) Toolkit, 2012-2013

All veteran teachers of core academic subjects should have met the highly qualified teacher requirement by the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year. All instructional paraprofessionals in Title I buildings or whose positions are paid by Title I targeted assistance funds should also have met the qualified paraprofessional requirement by the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year. All newly hired core academic teachers and instructional paraprofessionals should be highly qualified upon employment.

The Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) Reporting Materials Toolkit has been revised for the 2011-2012 school year. These materials will serve as a guide for Ohio’s school administrators to assist in reporting highly qualified teachers and qualified instructional paraprofessionals.
