Welcome to the web site of the former Ohio School Funding Advisory Council! The Council, which operated from 2009-2011, was charged with reviewing Ohio’s evidence-based model of school funding and making recommendations for revising the school funding system to better support the needs of all of Ohio's students. The Council completed its initial report on Dec. 1, 2010.

The work of the Council was guided by high-quality research which identified strategies proven to have the greatest impact on student achievement. The Council also engaged the education community, including teachers, parents, administrators and students, in its discussions.

Charge of the School Funding Advisory Council:

To recommend modifications to the components of Ohio's evidence-based school funding system. The recommendations must be based on current, high quality research, information provided by school districts, and best practices in operational efficiencies.
