For school superintendents, principals and treasurers
TELL Ohio survey extended to Friday, April 20 – gain valuable teacher input on school improvements through this confidential survey
The Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning (TELL) Ohio survey, now open until 6 p.m. Friday, will give teachers and administrators the chance to anonymously describe what conditions they need to do their jobs better, and thus boost student achievement. Prepared by the New Teacher Center, the TELL Ohio survey is free for all Ohio schools.
The website’s FAQs explain how the survey ensures complete confidentiality. Each school with a response rate of at least 50 percent will receive customized supports, data tools, professional development and an online resource library of best practices as a result of their participation. For questions about or assistance with the survey, please submit a query here. TELL Ohio is co-sponsored by ODE in partnership with education organizations listed here.

Secretary of State sending schools voter registration packets for seniors
Each year, as part of the Grads Vote Ohio program, the Secretary of State’s office provides Ohio high schools with voter registration materials for graduating seniors. This initiative has been valuable in encouraging our state’s newest eligible voters to participate in the democratic process.
In the coming weeks, your school will receive a shipment of voter registration packets for members of your senior class. The packets contain a letter, a voter registration form and information on serving as a precinct election official (or poll worker). More information about Grads Vote Ohio can be found here.
