Volunteers needed for Early Childhood Stakeholder Committee

Parents and families of young children, technical assistance providers, and early childhood care and education providers play important roles in the early care and education of Ohio’s children. This month, the departments of Education and Job and Family Services are looking for participants for a stakeholder committee under the Preschool Development Grant recently awarded to Ohio. Ohio’s goals for the grant include:

  1. Providing children with access to quality early childhood care and education;
  2. Helping families make informed decisions about early childhood care and education; and
  3. Increasing the number of children participating in quality early childhood and education settings.
Committee members will be asked to share their experiences so these state departments can increase awareness about quality early care and education opportunities in Ohio.
Those interested should complete the online application. The committee meetings will take place from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on these dates at the State Library of Ohio in Columbus:
  • May 13, 2019;
  • June 11, 2019;
  • Aug. 26, 2019;
  • Oct. 8, 2019; and
  • Dec. 9, 2019.
