ESC of Central Ohio’s June Academy offers in-person and online training


The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio will offer Ohio educators high-quality learning opportunities June 2-27, during the annual June Academy. Topics for this year include: 

  • Performance Task Design – featuring ODE consultants and OPAPP teachers
  • English Language Arts and Math Common Core - Tanny McGregor, Jonily Zupanic and Steve Leinwand
  • Project-based Learning - Buck Institute for Education facilitators and Dayna Laur
  • Blended Learning/Teacher as Architect - Sarah Folzenlogen and Stephanie Hollar
  • Depth of Knowledge/Assessment Design - Common Core Institute speaker Jill Stine
  • Online Courses (Quality Matters Online Design and Ohio Department of Education Advanced Mentor Teacher Course: Data Beyond the Numbers)
  • Specially designed workshops to support Ohio-based initiatives (Ohio’s Teacher Evaluation System, Understanding Ohio’s Report Cards, Value-Added Data and others).

Face-to-face and online options are available, and participants can select from multi-day “mini-academy” options, single-day or half-day options.
