Training scheduled for school Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning
A two-day training course for school Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning will be held June 12-13 at the Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security in Columbus. The course is designed to provide schools with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to refine or develop an all-hazards school Emergency Operations Plan and to identify how to train and exercise the school plan.
Sponsored by Ohio Emergency Management Agency, the class is designed for school administrators, principals, assistant principals, risk managers, school board members, school safety coordinators (resource officers), transportation and food service coordinators, facility managers/building engineers, nurses, counselors, public information officers, teachers and local emergency managers and first responders (law enforcement, fire, etc.) who are interested in comprehensive emergency planning for Grades K-12.
There are only 40 seats available for the class, so early registration is recommended.
