Please check approved vendor assessment list for student growth measures
As district administrators select assessments for measuring student growth in teacher and principal evaluations this year, they should check the 2014-2015 list of approved vendor assessments to ensure they are aware of changes that have been made to this list.
Due to feedback from districts across the state, the Request for Qualifications for this year’s approved vendors had more stringent selection requirements than in the past, resulting in the rejection of some previously approved vendor assessments. In addition, new vendor assessments showing evidence of meeting the qualifications were added to the list. This listing, which was posted in May, includes assessments that meet fundamental requirements as explained on the department’s website.
Districts should contact assessment vendors directly for specific details about the formulas, data or evidence used to measure growth. The next updated list will be posted in spring 2015.
