Data review window open for 2019 calendar, staff, course and remaining assessment data

From Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Sept. 6, superintendents must complete required reviews of their 2019 calendars, staff, courses, Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT), OELPAs, alternate, and other assessment data for accountability reported in Ohio’s Education Management Information System (EMIS). As they complete and submit the 2019 Data Review for the Report Card Part 2 form, superintendents must signify whether the data are accurate.
EMIS Data Review and Verification forms are part of EMIS reporting described in Ohio Revised Code 3301.0714. The law requires superintendents to review and certify the quality of data, as noted in Ohio Administrative Code 3301-14-01 (G). Failing to complete the process may trigger progressive sanctions outlined in OAC 3301-17.
The superintendent, EMIS coordinator and superintendent designee can access and complete the data review forms. However, the forms are not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent completes the process by approving them.
For more information about the data review window, timeline and completion process, visit the EMIS Data Review & Verification webpage. For questions regarding data reviews, contact the Department's Office of Data Quality.
