Data appeal window open for summer third grade reading
From Monday, Aug. 27, through Friday, Aug. 31, superintendents and EMIS coordinators should check summer third grade reading data on their test vendor files. Like last year, the Department will use the assessment vendor file instead of requiring districts to report the summer third grade reading assessment data via EMIS. If a superintendent finds inaccurate assessment vendor data, he or she should submit an appeal by the Aug. 31 deadline as described here, using the Data Appeal for Summer Third Grade Reading form within the Forms application in SAFE.
The superintendent, EMIS coordinator and superintendent designee can access and complete the data appeal form. The Department does not consider the form to be officially submitted, however, until the superintendent or designee approves it in SAFE.
