2018-2019 additions to Industry-Recognized Credentials List released
The Ohio Department of Education, collaborating with the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, released additions to its 2018-2019 Industry-Recognized Credentials List.
Per Ohio House Bill 49, industry-recognized credentials can be added to the current list with the approval of a committee of industry professionals established by the state superintendent of public instruction and the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation.
A panel of more than 70 industry professionals reviewed all the approved credentials, as well as all credential applications, in spring 2018. The industry panel did not recommend removing any current industry-recognized credentials from the list. Here are approved additions to the list. The Department will post the full, updated 2018-2019 Industry-Recognized Credentials List in the coming weeks.
