Ohio’s Guidelines for School Libraries: Volunteers needed for revision working groups

The Ohio Department of Education will lead a working team to update Ohio’s Library Guidelines. The Department wants educators to be a part of the process by volunteering to serve as part of the revision working group. Those interested in taking part should complete the online application no later than Jan. 15.
The guidelines working group will meet throughout 2019, both on-site and virtually, to review and write guideline changes that focus on learners, school librarians and library programs. The writing will focus on and align with the three principles of Equity, Partnerships and Quality Schools found in Ohio’s Strategic Plan for Education, Each Child, Our Future.
When the group finishes its work, the Department will ask Ohioans to submit survey feedback on the revised guidelines. Find more about the guidelines on the Department’s Library Guidelines webpage.
