March 1 application deadline for districts interested in career-technical education program

Districts interested in offering a career-technical education program for the Fiscal Year 2020 school year should work with their assigned Career-Technical Planning Districts to submit CTE-26 applications by March 1, 2019. The application is available in SAFE.
This year, the Business, Finance, Construction Technologies and the Law and Public Safety career field programs must submit FY2020 CTE-26/Program of Study renewal applications.
Here are timelines for submitting new CTE-26 program applications or applications for program renewal:

  • The lead district in the CTPD is responsible for approving or disapproving a program application no later than March 1, 2019;
  • The CTPD superintendent or CTPD superintendent designee must submit the approved program application to the Ohio Department of Education by March 15, 2019.
The Department will review the program application and notify districts by May 15, 2019.
For help submitting a CTE-26 application, refer to the CTE-26 Application and Resources webpage or contact Leah Amstutz, associate director of the Department’s Office of Career-Technical Education.
