Reminder: National School Breakfast week art competition deadline

As part of the weeklong celebration of National School Breakfast week, March 4-8, the Office of Integrated Student Supports is sponsoring a special art competition titled, Breakfast: A Fuel for Life! The contest promotes the importance of activities fueled by eating a healthy breakfast. It is open only to schools that are taking part in the food program.

The office invites students individually or as a class to submit photographs or drawings portraying activities fueled by eating breakfast. They can use media like chalk, pencil, marker, crayon or other tools. Students must incorporate in the photo or drawing the words Breakfast: A Fuel for Life! The Office of Integrated School Supports will select entries that best promote the theme based on their visual impact, creativity, effort and skill. If you are having trouble choosing just one activity, combine all your ideas to create an art mural or take a creative photo. Submissions must be postmarked by Friday, Feb. 22.

Please visit the Department’s School Breakfast Program webpage for additional entry and submission details. Email questions to Jared Copeny.
