Check out the Big Hoopla STEM Challenge, March 11
The Big Hoopla STEM Challenge in Dayton on March 11 combines the excitement of basketball and the disciplines of STEM – science, technology, engineering and math. Students in grades K-8 are invited to participate and bring their families.
The challenge is a free basketball contest with prizes given away for every shot, including hundreds of tickets to the 2018 NCAA First Four, gift cards and multiple grand prizes. During the competition, regional and national partners will offer family-friendly STEM exhibits and demonstrations — all designed to engage students and excite them about the power of STEM education.
Participating students should preregister. Parents and chaperones do not need tickets to enter. Registration starts at noon and the competition begins at 1 p.m. Additional event, registration and prize details are available here.
