OFCC offers interactive map of new and renovated schools to help districts plan
The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) now offers a web-based geographic information system (GIS) map featuring schools newly built and renovated with funding from the OFCC. The initial map highlights OFCC co-funded school facilities built or renovated from 2012 to 2018. It will be updated as changes occur.
The map is searchable by school building type, student population, future-ready 21C school examples (schools of the 21st century) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications. Users also can click an icon in the map to bring up a summary of each location’s project, a fact sheet and photos.
Districts can use this tool in the planning stages of renovation and construction to review other districts’ ideas from similar projects. Any district engaged in an OFCC co-funded project during 2012-2018 that finds it is not on the map should contact email@example.com.
