Senior Only Credential Program

7/17/2017

Districts and schools have great flexibility in creating a Senior Only Credential Program for students. It allows a district or school to schedule instructional time solely for the student to earn an industry-recognized credential.

Schools and districts that want to set up Senior Only programs should contact the career-technical planning district. The planning district can help you with your application and EMIS reporting. The deadline for career-technical planning districts to approve new senior-only programs for the 2018-2019 school year is March 1, 2018.

State-approved Senior Only programs receive career-technical education funding. Schools and districts also may offer credentials to students outside career-technical education programs by incorporating credential training into new or existing classes. Schools and districts that want to integrate credentials into existing or new courses in the 2017-2018 school year may contact Leah Amstutz or call (614) 644-5924.
