Ohio expands options for students to earn industry-recognized credentials
Ohio’s high school students now have 49 more industry-recognized credentials at their fingertips, thanks to the input of companies and industries throughout the state. Some students go right into the workforce after earning credentials. Credentials allow other students to earn money to help finance college.
For example, a student interested in the health field can earn his or her Phlebotomy Technician Certification while in high school. The student can use the phlebotomy credential to get a job in a local hospital, where he or she can earn money while working toward a degree in nursing.
