Please update EVAAS school and district administrators by Aug. 15
The department is working with SAS, the vendor that establishes access for district and school administrators who will manage local EVAAS educator accounts this coming school year. These preparations will ensure that the school and district administrators can set up accounts for teachers and other administrators, so that these individuals can access the 2013-2014 EVAAS Value-Added data when it is released in October. In addition to these results, the EVAAS reports throughout the year also include student projections, diagnostic data and many other data elements.
For the first time this year, SAS will set up the EVAAS administrator accounts based on two new role assignments in the Ohio Educational Directory System Redesign (OEDS-R). The department has assigned these roles (either EVAAS – district administrator or EVAAS – school administrator) in OEDS-R to the individuals who performed these functions last year. Please note that these school and district EVAAS administrators will have access to teacher Value-Added reports, as well as school and student reports. Superintendents need to verify by Aug. 15 that the names and email addresses of the individuals assigned to the two EVAAS roles in OEDS-R are still current and are the correct individuals for these roles. If not, they may make new role assignments. The department will send role assignments made by Aug. 15 to SAS, and the district and school EVAAS administrators will gain access by the first week of September.
