Phase One of “print-your-own license” feature begins
Another improvement with the My Educator Profile online licensing system is now in place, allowing any educator who has an “issued” or currently valid credential to download and save a copy of the corresponding license, certificate or permit in PDF format and print it from his or her own computer. To access this feature, the licensed educator is to log into SAFE, access ODE CORE and the My Educator Profile System. The license will be accessible to the educator through the My Credentials section.
When a school district receives a new license, certificate or permit from a job applicant, authorized personnel should ensure that the unique credential number on the license matches the person’s records in My Educator Profile. Administrators also should note that the new credential will print out in an 8.5 x 11 format. The original paper credentials, which will continue to be mailed to applicants upon approval of licensure requests this summer, are smaller than the licenses educators may download.
When the second phase of the print-your-own license project begins in the fall, mailing of paper copies will cease. At that time, applicants and authorized signers will receive by email the PDF licenses once the licensure requests are approved.
