Community Connectors Mentoring Grants awarded
In the latest round of grants in the Community Connectors school mentorship program, 116 community partnerships will share $9.9 million to mentor approximately 33,000 Ohio students. Since July 2015, 342 community partnerships have received $29.2 million for programs that give more Ohio students access to role models. Mentors motivate and inspire students while helping them develop skills that lead to success in school and the workplace.
Since July 2015, 13,704 mentors have guided approximately 41,000 students, logging more than 222,000 one-to-one mentoring hours. Mentors also have provided approximately 304,550 hours of group activities with students. In all, 55 of Ohio’s 88 counties are, or have been home to, one or more Community Connectors grants.
