Free prescription drug safety program for teens
A new initiative from the Prevention Action Alliance offers a digital Prescription Drug Safety course aimed at informing students of the risks of prescription drug abuse and misuse. The digital learning course promotes an evidence-based, public health approach to empowering high school students with the skills and knowledge they need to make safe and healthy decisions about prescription drugs.
The digital course is available at no cost to schools through support from The Prescription Drug Safety Network. It covers topics like the science of addiction, safe use, storage and disposal of prescription medications, refusal skills and bystander intervention strategies.
