Seeking nominations for volunteer membership on the Ohio Dyslexia Committee

House Bill 436 of the 133rd General Assembly requires the Ohio Department of Education to establish the Ohio Dyslexia Committee. Seven members of this committee appointed by the state superintendent of public instruction and one member appointed by the chancellor of higher education will include the following:
- A school district superintendent;
- An elementary school principal;
- A classroom teacher with appropriate certification and at least two years of experience teaching in a multi-sensory structured literacy program;
- An educational service center employee with appropriate certification;
- An employee of the Ohio Department of Education;
- A school psychologist;
- A reading intervention specialist with appropriate certification; and
- An individual with experience in higher education and teacher preparation programs with appropriate certification.
