Updated answers to questions about student growth measures are posted

A page of frequently asked questions about student growth measures, posted here, has been updated. New information includes a description of changes House Bill 555 made to how valued-added data may be used in the student growth measures portion of Ohio’s teacher evaluation system.

The new teacher evaluation system allows for multiple means of determining student growth. Local administrators and teachers are creating student learning objectives to measure student progress for subjects in which value-added data and approved vendor assessments are not an option – such as art or music. Answers to questions teachers and administrators are asking about student learning objectives are available here.
