Time to gear up for summer learning and reading with free resources from INFOhio
INFOhio and the Ohio Department of Education are offering free, online summer “Beach Bags” to Ohio families. Designed for grades K-3, the Beach Bags feature stories and activities that let children practice their reading skills while they learn about careers and their environment:
- Explore the World of Work: Police Officer;
- Explore the World of Work: President;
- Explore the World of Work: Veterinarian;
- On the Move;
- Perfect Pets;
- The Foods We Eat;
- Weather, Weather Everywhere!;
- What's in Your Neighborhood?; and
- Where Does the Garbage Go?
provides five days of reading, activities and experiments centered on STEAM topics for students in grades 4-5. Kids can try their hands at code breaking, conduct science experiments with items they find in the kitchen, learn about roller coasters before designing their own and create their own musical instruments.
No sign up is necessary. Download the Beach Bags so your children can work through the activities at their own pace. Parents also can check out additional summer learning with INFOhio on the Summer Learning Page
