Watch for first-time voting packets for high school seniors from the Ohio Secretary of State
In November, Ohioans will vote for local leaders and other important local issues. Many of those casting their votes for the first time will be high school seniors.
As part of a new high school civic engagement program, the Ohio Secretary of State, Frank LaRose, has developed a voter registration packet tailored for newly eligible high school voters. The packet includes:
- A letter offering congratulations to the new voter;
- A voter registration form; and
- Information on how registered students can serve as poll workers.
The Secretary of State’s office will send packets to high school civics teachers statewide for distribution to senior students. Packet information and links to register online also can be found at MyOhioVote.com
