Reminder: Report students earning the OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal for the class of 2019
It is important for schools to report students who have earned the OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal because it helps students with future job searches and employers with successful recruiting.
Districts should report OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal earners two ways:
1) In Ohio’s Education Management Information System (EMIS) by EMIS coordinators; and
2) Reporting in OhioMeansJobs. In this case, teachers can turn on an indicator in the system that automatically attaches the OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal to the resumes their students submit.
Remember, the OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal is among the choice of requirements students can use to fulfill the temporary Option 1 pathway to graduation. Click here for a complete guide and accompanying video tutorial that explains how schools report their OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal earners, or email the Career Connections team for guidance at CareerConnections@education.ohio.gov.
The Department encourages schools to share OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal successes on social media using #OHSuccessBound and #MyOhioClassroom.
