Career-technical middle school programming waivers due Sept. 30
Ohio law requires each city, local and exempted village school district to provide career-technical education programming to students enrolled in grades 7 and 8. In districts that choose not to provide middle school programming, the local board of education must adopt a resolution that specifies the district’s intent not to provide career-technical education to students enrolled in grades 7 and 8 for the applicable year.
The superintendent or superintendent’s designee must submit the middle school waiver through the Middle School Survey Form on the OH|ID portal. Instructions for submitting the waiver are available on the Department's website.
Waivers are due annually by Sept. 30. Direct questions to the Office of Career-Technical Education at (614) 387-6001.
