The Purple Star designation for military-friendly schools recognizes schools that show a major commitment to serving students and families connected to our nation’s armed forces. Purple Star awardees receive a special Purple Star recognition to display in their buildings. For more information on the announcement, see a media release posted here.
The Ohio Department of Education also recently launched the Ohio Network for Military Families and Veterans. The network provides an online hub where principals, counselors, teachers and families can find information and tools. Click here for more information on ways Ohio is supporting its military families.
