Data appeal window open for 2018 funding data
Starting Monday, Sept. 17 through Wednesday, Oct. 3, treasurers and superintendents can review funding data in the Ohio District Data Exchange (ODDEX). A district that finds inaccurate data should submit an appeal by the Oct. 3 deadline using the 2018 Data Appeal for Funding form. This is available in the Forms application in SAFE.
The funding data appeal window will allow an opportunity to appeal cross-district data (such as community school flags and overlapping enrollment) that impact funding. As notified in EdConnection on July 16 and Aug. 13, districts will not be able to appeal their own EMIS data during the funding appeal process. This data already has been subject to review and appeal this past summer.
The treasurer and superintendent must both approve the funding data appeal. The treasurer must approve the forms first, then the superintendent or designee approves the form to complete the process. For answers to questions about data appeals, contact the Office of Data Quality.
