Ohio among first to offer data dashboard for arts education
Educators, parents and policymakers have a new tool to help them review data about arts education. Ohio is among one of the first states to create an arts education dashboard — a partnership initiative of the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, Ohio Arts Council, Ohio Department of Education and Quadrant Research.
As part of the project, the partners developed a data dashboard that allows users to explore school, district, county and statewide arts education data collected through the Education Management Information System (EMIS). The interactive dashboard displays the data as color-coded graphs and charts.
The nationwide project works with participating state departments of education to collect and report arts education data on an annual basis.
