Webinar discusses secure, safe and successful K-12 family reunification
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Healthy Students and the Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools Technical Assistance (REMS TA) Center will host a webinar on how K-12 schools and school districts can better prepare for family reunifications after an emergency. The webinar, Conducting a Secure, Safe, and Successful K-12 Family Reunification Process, will be held Friday, Sept. 21, from 2-3 p.m.
Presenters will discuss key planning considerations, lessons learned and strategies for family reunification, including security and safety considerations and meeting the physical and emotional needs of students, teachers, staff, and parents or guardians during the reunification process. This event also will feature a dedicated 15-minute Q&A session during which presenters will field questions from participants.
