Prudential Spirit of Community Awards begins search for Ohio’s top youth volunteers

Now through Nov. 5, students in grades 5-12 who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteerism are invited to apply for Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. Their service must have taken place at least in part after Sept. 1, 2018. Details about the program and application are available here. To apply, Ohio students must be legal residents of the state.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created in 1995 to recognize youth for outstanding volunteer service and emphasize the importance of service to others, encouraging young Americans to contribute to their communities. Key sponsors are Prudential Financial and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. State honorees receive $1,000, engraved medallions and all-expense paid trips to the national recognition event in Washington, D.C.
