Florence Nightingale Day helps students discover careers in statistics and data science

9/3/2019

The American Statistical Association and the Caucus for Women in Statistics are hosting the second annual Florence Nightingale Day, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Any Ohio students in grades 8-12 are invited to attend this free event at The Ohio State University in Columbus as part of a national event to celebrate women in statistics and data science, and to promote the science of data.

Students can discover career opportunities in statistics and big data, take part in fun activities, meet industry mentors and make new friends.

Teachers interested in hosting a visiting student group for the day should fill out the Teacher Leader Form. Individual student registration is available here. Event volunteers are needed. To help with Florence Nightingale Day, please fill out the volunteer form. For questions or comments, email Jessica Kohlschmidt.
