Name the next Mars Rover for NASA: Join the free webinar on Sept. 9

9/3/2019

In July 2020, NASA will launch the next rover, and your students can help! NASA, in partnership with Battelle and Future Engineers, is kicking off a contest for K-12 students to name the Mars 2020 rover.

Sept. 9, at 2 p.m., Dr. Stephanie Johnson from Battelle and Tanya Silva from Future Engineers will conduct a free webinar on activities to use in the classroom, based on the naming competition. Registration is required to join the webinar.

Students should submit their rover names with brief essays advocating for their choices. Rules and submission details are available here. The contest submission deadline is Nov. 1.
