Florence Nightingale Day celebrates women in the field of data science

The American Statistical Association and the Caucus for Women in Statistics are hosting Florence Nightingale Day on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Female students in grades 8-12 are invited to this inaugural event taking place at The Ohio State University in Columbus as part of a similar national celebration to promote the science of data.
Students can discover career opportunities in statistics and data science, take part in fun activities, meet industry mentors and make new friends. Throughout the day, students will meet successful women in statistics and data science, take on data challenges and have fun!
Space is limited. Teachers interested in hosting a visiting student group for the day should fill out the Teacher Leader Form. Individual student registration is available here. Event volunteers are needed. To assist at the Florence Nightingale Day in Columbus, please fill out the volunteer form. For questions, contact Jessica Kohlschmidt.
