Smart Mobility: Statewide design challenge for K-12 students

The Ohio STEM Learning Network, in partnership with DriveOhio, is hosting a statewide design challenge that asks K-12 students to consider how smart mobility could improve their community’s well-being. Smart Mobility incorporates using emerging technologies like autonomous vehicles, hyperloop technology and ridesharing to improve the mobility of people and goods in the safest, most convenient and cost-effective way.
The year-long design challenge offers opportunities for students to collaborate with others, practice solving real-world problems, consult with experts and more.
Teacher support resources and a dedicated challenge website are coming soon. A full day of professional development will be offered at the kickoff for #STEMdrivesOhio at COSI, in Columbus on Oct. 3. Details for the challenge and the professional development day are available on the Ohio STEM Learning Network website.
