Tech marks the spot! Two shows feature Ohio career-tech students
Whether it’s the workforce, postsecondary education or additional training for a specialty field, Ohio’s career-technical education programs prepare students for success in every pathway.
Last week, Ohio’s PBS channels debuted The Career Path Less Taken, a documentary showcasing our state’s vibrant and innovative career-tech learning community. If you missed its premiere, or want to watch again, you can view it here. The Career Path Less Taken takes a deeper look at career-technical education, addresses misconceptions and highlights how these programs are vital to preparing students to compete in an increasingly complex and global marketplace.
There’s more to watch! The Ohio Department of Education produced a companion video to keep the career-tech conversation going. Watch Career Tech Talk, an after-show discussion. In this video, Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria moderates a conversation between career-tech students and industry experts.
