K-12 School Safety Grant Program presentation Oct. 5
On Oct. 5 at 11 a.m., the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission will hold a Microsoft Teams Live presentation for eligible schools interested in applying for the Commission’s new K-12 School Safety Grant Program.
A total of $5 million in state funding will be available for eligible schools for improvements to the overall physical security and safety of their buildings. Eligible school types include:
- Schools operated by a school district board of education;
- Community schools;
- STEM schools; and
- College-preparatory boarding schools.
This competitive grant program can reimburse eligible schools up to $100,000 per school for safety and security improvement costs, including physical security enhancements, equipment, and design, installation and labor associated with the eligible improvements.
This presentation will walk through the application process, evaluation of applications, notification of awards and frequently asked questions. At the end of the presentation, the Commission’s grants team will be available to answer questions from attendees.
