Updated guidance for determining special education eligibility for students with developmental delays

The Department updated the “Determining Special Education Eligibility for School-Age Children: Developmental Delay” document to reflect a recent change in law.

The Ohio School Safety Center and Ohio Student Safety Advisory Council are hosting a Safety Art Contest for students in grades 6-12. Submissions are due May 26.

New public comment opportunity for changes to EMIS guidelines

The Department is accepting public comment on proposed changes to EMIS guidelines. Submit comments no later than June 3.

Early childhood educator career survey deadline extended

The Department wants to hear from early childhood educators about the factors and conditions that have contributed to them staying or leaving the field of early education. The Department has extended the deadline to complete a brief survey through May 26.
