From Sept. 22 to Oct. 3, all students can take the GED Ready™ practice test for free at a local adult education center. Students can see whether they’re ready to pass the GED® test and get a personalized study plan to help focus their studying so they can score higher.

All GED vouchers have new expiration date

Effective immediately, all vouchers that have been received since January 2014 have a new expiration date that aligns with the state’s fiscal year. The new expiration date will be June 30, 2015.

School districts to receive $44.3 million in proposed workers’ comp premium rebates

Another Billion Back in workers’ compensation rebates could be in the mail very soon. Gov. John Kasich and Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Administrator/CEO Steve Buehrer announced a plan last month to return $1 billion in the form of rebates to public-taxing districts and private employers. That means $44.3 million for Ohio’s school districts.

Principals and superintendents – please nominate an educator to review the Ohio Assessments for Educator

Administrators are invited to nominate educators who will review the Ohio Assessments for Educators and recommend cut scores for teachers who will be required to take the tests based on a state law that goes into effect beginning in school year 2015-2016.
