New Rules for Public Comment

The Department regularly posts rules for public comment. Recently, rules related to the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program, standards for measuring sponsor compliance, early child education screening and assessment and pupil transportation opened for comment. Free computer science workshop for middle school and high school leaders and counselors

Middle schools and high schools face unique challenges in preparing students for the future. Computer science is key, offering essential skills for thriving in the digital age. This summer, Code.org and the Ohio STEM Learning Network will offer Ohio teachers at any grade level and any subject area free professional development. School leaders and counselors are invited to learn more and prepare students for a bright future Thursday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Battelle’s headquarters in Columbus.
