Fifth Annual Ohio Economic-Education Summit, March 6 and 7 in Columbus

Keynote remarks will be presented by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Stan Heffner, U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier, City Barbeque CEO Rick Malir and Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Executive Director Rhonda Reda.
In addition to one session that provides an overview of job opportunities in 10 industries targeted as important to the state’s economy, there will be breakout sessions for each of these industry sectors: Advanced Energy; Advanced Manufacturing; Ag-Bioscience; Biomedical; Finance; Health; Informatics; Information Technology; Logistics; and Oil/Gas. Among industries engaged in the dialogue with high schools, career centers and colleges throughout Ohio are Third Sun Solar, Edge Factor, Pioneer, Good Samaritan Hospital, Nationwide and Dole.
