Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band to Recap Big Day and Thank Supporters

COLUMBUS, Ohio — As an expression of thanks to The Ohio State University Marching Band, Director Jonathan Waters, the Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band marching assistants and all of the band’s supporters, the Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band will perform a concert and a give a presentation about preparing for and performing a Double Script Ohio and Braille Ohio at Ohio Stadium during halftime of a Buckeye football game at “The Shoe” earlier this fall.
On Oct. 18, the band received the “Creative Use of Braille” Award from the American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville for their signature drill “Script Braille Ohio.”
At Thursday’s event, marching band director Carol Agler and band members will share stories about their experience and Agler will show videos of the performance.
The public is invited to attend this event on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m. in Scarberry Hall Auditorium, at the Ohio State School for the Blind, 5220 North High St., Columbus.
