The Ohio Department of Education wants to keep the public up to date on the status of the state superintendent search. As you may know, the state board of education takes the lead on the search for and selection of the state superintendent. The application deadline for this position was last Friday. The board is expected to conduct interviews and make a hiring decision in the next few months. The superintendent search timeline and applicant information can be viewed below.
At its September 2015 meeting, the State Board of Education reviewed the necessary percent of students scoring proficient or higher on each state test for the Indicators Met measure on the 2015 Ohio School Report Card.
