Due to scheduling conflicts, the second of three webinars for the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) will be on Wednesday, March 26 (previously it was scheduled for March 27). The time remains noon to 1 p.m. (EST). Space is limited, so reserve your webinar seat for March 26 by clicking here.
RESA candidates have received information from Teachscape regarding videos for Task 1 that were submitted for scoring, but were segmented incorrectly and cannot be scored. Candidates who have submitted videos for Tasks 1 or 3 may work with Teachscape to correct segmentation errors if they contact the RESA Help Desk before April 5. Errors that may be corrected include: more than two segments from a single class; segments that are not at least two minutes in length; segments that total more than 15 minutes in length; or segments from more than one class session.
Program coordinators can choose from one of two upcoming day-long meetings for an opportunity to learn from the department and colleagues in other districts about implementing the Ohio Resident Educator program. The department will host one meeting on Wednesday, May 7 at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center in Mansfield and another on Wednesday, May 14 in Dublin at the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC). Program coordinators should watch email for more details; registration will be in STARS through SAFE accounts.
Teachscape will be hosting a webinar at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, to share with candidates, facilitators and program coordinators additional details about the requirements to complete the RESA.
