The Ohio Department of Education has extended the deadline for RESA tasks 2, 3, 4 and 5 to Midnight Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Note that the Tripod Student Perception Survey administration deadline remains March 1; RESA candidates will receive the surveys the week of Feb. 10. The deadline extension for tasks is a result of the continued weather-related school closures and uncertainty regarding further school closures this winter. Program coordinators for the Ohio Resident Educator Program at any Ohio public school district may now submit reimbursement requests for funds that have supported their local programs. The maximum funding amount is $350 for each first-year resident educator working in a public district, chartered community school, educational service center, career center or joint vocational school. The funds, which may not be allocated to private preschool or chartered nonpublic organizations, will come from the Ohio Department of Education’s Race to the Top administrative dollars.
Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) candidates are receiving the following message from Teachscape today (Wednesday, Dec. 18). The message includes information about resources to help in segmenting portions of their videos for submission. Also, the hours for the Help Desk at Teachscape are listed.
The Ohio Department of Education has extended the deadline to submit Task 1 for the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) by one week to midnight, Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. The extension is granted to give candidates additional time to complete the “My Profile” section, to complete Task 1 and to resolve any issues related to uploading and segmenting video.
